Autumn is coming
Traveling… Another trip. Yeap, that´s me, I need to visit nice places to learn nice things. I need to experience a lot to remember a lot. This time I ended up at Saint Ana´s Lake. As you see, it was not my lake, but it belongs to some other Ana with only one n.
Călătorind… Încă o excursie. Dap asta-s eu, trebuie să vizitez locuri pentru a învăța lucruri. am nevoie să experimentez multe pentru a reține multe. De această dată am ajuns la lacul Sfânta Ana. După cum vedeți, nu e lacul meu, ci al unei alte Ana cu un singur n.
Well, it started with bad luck. We (yeap, I was not alone this time, my dearest was with me) learnt that the hardest hitchhiking is in a small village. After an hour of walk through nothing we managed to get our first car. Not the last one. In the end of the day we were behind Brasov. This was good. But then… another bad luck. There is no forest to sleep in! Nothing but rain, mud and empty branches above us. We spent the first night among bare trees, wet leaves and upset dogs on the edge of the city. My shoes were still doing the squelching noise, when I took my thumb out of the warmness of my sleeve to catch some kind soul behind a wheel. This day was better, from one car to another and tadaaa, we are walking the hill to an old, old volcano. In the middle of forest, in the middle of wood where is every single colour you can imagine, but not the touristic one. It simply disappeared.
Ei bine a început cam ghinionist. Am descoperit (nu am fost singură de data asta, iubitul meu a fost cu mine) că autostopul e cel mai greu în sate mici. După o oră de mers am reușit să prindem o mașină. Nu singura. La final de zi eram aproape de Brașov. Asta a fost bine. Apoi… alt ghinion. Nu era nici o pădure în care să putem dormi! Nimic înafară de ploaie, noroi și crengi goale deasupra noastră. Am petrecut prima noapte printre copaci golași, frunze ude și auzind câinii de la marginea orașului. Încălțămintea mea încă lipăia în momentul în care mi-am scos degetul mare din căldura mânecii pentru a îndupleca vreun suflet blând din spatele volanului. Ziua aceasta a fost mai bună, de la o mașină la alta și tadaaa mergeam la deal spre un vechi vulcan. În mijlocul pădurii am găsit fiecare culoare pe care ne-am fi putut-o imagina mai puțin pe cea turistică. A dispărut pur și simplu.

We did not, yet we found so many bear´s poops I quit counting them when I was at number twelve. There was first snow of this year, colours on trees and under our feet, and wind and drizzle around. Weather with sense of humor, indeed. Where are we supposed to sleep, he? Under the bear´s fur? There it would be so, so warm. Inside of his belly.
We are making fire in the edge of the lake, enjoying our freezing fingers and drying 
clothes, fear of animals and presence of each other. But we can not stay, it is too dangerous. On our way again, in the middle of the night. Singing songs to keep the fear in bay and bears far away from this horrible noise. This time we managed to find a nice three beech trees in a corner of a small park or what ever it was. Hidden from the worst wind and the most curious eyes, we have slept in the end of a camping place.
La sfârșitul lui octombrie poți doar spera că dacă tragi vânturi după ce mănînci jir, și ursul trage de asemenea vânturi după ce mănâncă jir, nu poți spera decât să nu vă întâlniți în timpul acestui proces. Noi nu ne-am întâlnit, dar am găsit fecale de urs suficiente cât să mă opresc din numărat. A căzut și prima zăpadă din acest an, copacii sunt încă colorați, la fel și solul iar vântul și burnița ne înconjoară. Vremea chiar are simțul umorului. Iar noi unde vom dormi? Poate sub blana ursului? Acolo ar fi foarte cald, în stomacul lui, mai ales.
Am făcut focul la marginea lacului bucurându-ne de dezghețarea degetelor, uscarea hainelor, teama de animale și de prezența celuilalt. Dar nu putem sta, e prea periculos. La miezul nopții am luat-o din nou la pas. Cântam cântece să ținem teama-n frâu și urșii la distanță de acest sune oribil. Și am găsit un fag frumos în colțul unui parc, sau ce-o fi fost ăla. Ascuns din calea celui mai rău vânt și cu cei mai curioși ochi, am dormit la marginea unui camping.
Another day, another long, long walk. Mud was everywhere, but where is our yellow touristic mark? Ehm, vanished four or five trees ago. Only our sense of direction led us to a road, yet it was nowhere to be found. For those kind of situation I have my phone and my phone has.. GPS! The road was there, just behind a hill. And another hill, and another. Then there was a muddy meadow, long muddy field and… long, frequented road. What does it mean? It means fast way back home! Even though we had to spent another night outside, because it was not as fast as expected. Walking through a small village, again somewhere behind Brasov, surrounded with rain, wind and barking dogs. Suddenly a door opened. Well, I helped them. Old, reconstructed cow house gave us the roof and safety, and what more, even comfort. It was full of corn, a soft and funny bed for us.
The lesson from this trip: Do not underestimate the weather. But what is more important: If you ever have the opportunity, try to make a race across a hill of corn while wrapped inside of your sleeping bag. It is… unbelievable funny.
Încă o zi, încă o plimbare lungă-lungă. Noroiul e peste tot, dar unde este marcajul turistic galben? Ehm, a dispărut cu vreo patru-cinci copaci în urmă. Doar simțul nostru de orientare ne mai putea conduce către cale, dar nu era nici o cale. Pentru astfel de situații am telefon și telefonul are … GPS! Drumul era chiar acolo peste deal. Peste încă unul și peste încă unul. Apoi era o câmpie noroioasă, un câmp lung și plin de noroi și … un drum lung dar circulat. Ce înseamnă asta? Înseamnă o cale rapidă către casă. Totuși a trebuit să mai petrecem o noapte afară, deoarece nu a fost atât de rapid pe cât ne-am așteptat. Am străbătut un mic sat, din nou undeva pe lângă Brașov, înconjurați de ploaie, vânt și câini care latră. Deodată o ușă s-a deschis. Am ajutat-o defapt. Un hambar vechi dar reconstruit ne oferit acoperiș și siguranță și chiar mai mult, confort. Era un hambar plin cu porumb, un pat moale și amuzant.
Lecția acestei călătorii: nu subestimați vremea. Dar ce e mai important: dacă ai vreodată șansa, fă o cursă pe o grămadă de purumb înfășurat într-un sac de dormit. E incredibil de amuzant!

My trip to Craiova – Călătoria mea spre Craiova
I went to Craiova on Saturday morning, I knew that my best way was by train from Ploiesti Vest. Because I had to be there in the afternoon to not miss the train, I hitchhiked to reach my first checkpoint. I had breakfast and of course my meditation, I took my backpack and Fifty-Shades (our dog) came with me, as if she wanted to say goodbye. When I left the village, I met a woman and her aunt who gave me a ride to Valenii de Munte. We spoke a little bit in English, a little bit in Italian and her aunt offered me a piece of “lipie”. It was delicious. They were very kind and they took me to the bus station. From there, once again on the road I showed my right thumb and the sign saying “Ploiesti” in my left hand. After a while a nice guy picked me up and we talked during the trip about life, volunteering service and much more! After all, this is the magic of hitchhiking, you can meet interesting people with whom you can share a part of your life story. I arrived in Ploiesti and I stopped into a shop to buy my beloved “covrigi cu seminte” and vegan pastries, then I took a long walk on the street, direction Ploiesti Vest.
Am plecat spre Craiova sâmbătă dimineața și am știut că cea mai bună variantă de călătorie este cu trenul din Ploiesti Vest. Deoarece a trebuit să fiu acolo înainte de prânz pentru a nu pierde trenul, am făcut autostopul până acolo. Mi-am luat micul dejun, mi-am făcut meditația de dimineață, mi-am luat rucsacul și Fifty Shades (câinele nostru) a venit cu mine să-și ia la revedere. Când am părăsit satul am întâlnit o femeie și mătușa ei care m-au dus până la Vălenii de Munte. Am vorbit în engleză și în italiană, iar mătușa ei mi-a oferit o bucată de lipie. A fost delicioasă. Au fost foarte drăguțe și m-au lăsat la autogară. de acolo, din nou am întins degetul mâinii drepte în timp ce în stânga țineam semnul cu Ploiești. după ceva vreme m-a luat un tip, iar de-a lungul călătoriei am povestit despre viață, voluntariat și multe altele! Până la urmă aceasta este magia autostopului, poți întâlni oameni interesanți cu care să împărtășești puțin din povestea vieții tale. Am sosit în Ploiești și am oprit la un magazin pentru a cumpăra îndrăgiții covrigi cu semințe și produse de patiserie vegane, apoi am luat-o la pas spre gara Ploiești Vest.

Kids and Skateboard love
So, we were in a café with the whole team in the park of Valenii de Munte, just after an amazing theater show done by EVS volunteers from AIDA (Asociatia pentru Initiative Durabile – Alternative). As usual, I had my skateboard 
with me and when we arrived, I saw the “rolling zone” made for everybody who wants to ride!
So, I jumped on my skate to test the area and started to have fun with the board. After some moments kids started gathering from all around the park, asking me if I can do this and that trick, and this other one, and the other … and so on.
As I was rolling and pushing myself to go faster, all the kids were next to me, running after me to see how it goes. So, when I’ve decided to make a break and sit down for a few minutes, they all were
next to us waiting for me to take my flight once again, hahaha! So, when I went back there they all wanted to try my board, I couldn’t resist and I gave it to them. One by one they made a round and switched the rider.
That was a really great and happy moment. Smile on everybody faces, joy shared and another wonderful day in this wasted world.
Eram la o cafenea un întreg group în parc în Vălenii de Munte, după un spectacol extraordinar pus în scenă de către voluntarii SEV de la AIDA (Asociatia pentru Initiative Durabile – Alternative). Ca de obicei aveam placa cu mine și când am ajuns am văzut o zonă numai bună pentru exersat.
Am sărit pe placă să testez zona și am început să mă distrez.. După câteva momente copii au început să se adune din tot parcul și să îmi ceară să fac diferite scheme.
Și cum mergeam tot mai tare copii au început să alerge pe lângă mine să vadă cum fac. Când am hotărât să fac o pauză și să mă așez pentru câteva minute s-au adunat cu toții pe lângă mine așteptându-mă să îmi iau zborul din nou, hahaha! Iar când am pornit din nou toți voiau să îmi încerce placa și nu am putut rezista așa că i-am lăsat. Unul câte unul s-au dat pe ea.
Acela a fost un moment minunat. Zâmbete pe fețele tuturor, bucurie împărtășită și o altă zi minunat în această lume prăpădită.

International Evening – Seara Internațională
You know these events you need to prepare for long time in advance? This was one of them. I got the idea, we got the plans. Well, we were trying to make the plans, at least. Hi hi! And we got it, we made it! In some way it was a big, amazing success, in some way it wasss… the exact opposite.
I did this kind of event a few times before with various results, everytime with the thought in my head:
„OK, no more. If I am going to repeat this, I have to do it totally differently.“
With all the lessons from previous mistakes and with a small team, where everybody is experienced, useful and working – what could possibly go wrong?
Something did, I did. We did. Though the event did not! Fortunately it was only us, the inside people, who could see what went wrong, how large are the gaps in my organizational skills. But, in the end everything was on its place and ready to start the show. Our audience could just enjoy all what we offered to see, to hear, to dance and to eat. And we ate. A lot. And danced a lot. Talked a lot. Played. Saw. Tables were overflowed with pancakes from France, though made here in Romania by Maël and Margot; with Estonian potato salad by Eleny; sgagliozze (fried polenta), calzone di cipolla (onion cake) and frittelle (inexplicable, simple and delicious) by Italian Alessio; and Czech small cakes and „sandwiches“.
Stop me, if I want to organize something bigger ever again, stop me and say:
„Anna, push harder, make your team more motivated and PREPARE UNFORGETTABLY DELICIOUS FOOD as you did last time!“
The lesson for next time: The FOOD can SAVE anything and EVERYTHING! 🙂

Știți tipul ăla de evenimente în care trebuie totul pregătit cu ceva timp înainte? Acesta a fost unul dintre ele. Eu am avut ideea și am făcut cu toții planuri. Sau cel puțin am încercat. Hi hi! Și ne-a ieșit, am reușit! Pe de o parte a fost un mare și uimitor succes, pe de altă parte a fost… exact opusul.
Am mai făcut genul ăsta de evenimente înainte și am avut diferite rezultate, de fiecare dată mi-am spus: “Gata, ajunge. Dacă e să repet asta atunci va trebui să o fac într-un mod complet diferit.”
Cu toate învățămintele trase din greșelile anterioare și cu o echipă mică unde toți sunt experimentați, utili și muncitori – ce ar fi putut merge prost? Ceva a mers prost totuși, eu, noi, dar nu evenimentul în sine. din fericire doar noi, cei din interior am putut observa ce nu a mers, cât de mari au fost lipsurile în abilitățile mele de organizare. În cele din urmă totul a fost în ordine și am fost gata pentru a începe spectacolul. 
Spectatorii noștri s-au bucurat de ceea ce le-am oferit să vadă, audă, să danseze ori să mănânce. Și chiar am mâncat. Mult. Și am dansat mult. Am vorbit mult. Ne-am jucat. Am văzut. Mesele au fost supraîncărcate cu clătite franțuzești, deși făcute în România de către Mael și Margot; cu salată de cartofi estoniană făcută de către Eleny, cu sgagliozze (bucați de mămăligă prăjite), calzone di cipolla (plăcintă cu ceapă) și frittelle (niște chestii inexplicabile dar delicioase) făcute de către Alessio, precum și cu prăjituri cehe și sendvișuri.
Data viitoare când vreau să mai organizez așa ceva opriți-mă și spuneți-mi: Anna străduiește-te mai mult, motivează-ți echipa și GĂTEȘTE MÂNCARE DELICIOASĂ DE NEUITAT precum data trecută!
Lecție pentru data viitoare: mâncarea salvează orice și TOTUL!

A trip to the market…
Is Saturday morning and we are in the car with the destination Vălenii de Munte for a trip to the market! I love the market, sometimes I like to stroll in some market with something to eat or drink and spend my free time looking about what the market can offer me. Since the old time the markets are a mix of culture, life, smells and flavors, a place where you can meet people buying food, tools, bags and any others things. If you are lucky you can meet a cute girl looking for some necklace, bracelet or earrings for being like a princess; or a kind persons smiling behind their stall with lots of history in the wrinkles of an older seller.
For me this market was a nice surprise: from to the entrance with the sweet smell of one typical Romanian dessert, after with the colorful explosion of the vegetables and fruits market between the red and yellow peppers, violet eggplants, green cucumber, and the fantastic smell of the dried herbs, a joy for the eyes, nose and taste. The market is ideal if you want to find something good and fresh so your food will have that flavor of good food cooked in the house.
You don’t have to believe me just spend a Saturday morning in this nice market in Vălenii de Munte, I’m sure that you will fall in love of the colors, the taste, the smell and the people of this part of Romania. And for sure you can buy something that you need.
E sâmbătă dimineața iar noi suntem în mașină cu destinația Vălenii de Munte pentru o vizită la piață. Ador piața, câteodată îmi place să mă plimb prin piață cu ceva de mâncat sau băut și să-mi petrec timpul analizând ce îmi poate oferi piața. Din cele mai vechi timpuri piețele reprezintă un mix de cultură, stil de viață, arome și mirosuri, un loc unde poți întâlni oameni cumpărând mâncare, unelte, genți sau alte lucruri. Dacă ești norocos poți întâlni o fată drăguță care caută lănțișoare, brățări ori cercei pentru a fi ca o prințesă; sau poate întâlnești a persoană blândă zâmbind din spatele standului cu multe poveși adunate în ridurile din jurul ochilor.
Piața aceasta a reprezentat o surpriză pentru mine: de la intrare am simțit mirosul unui desert tipic românesc, apoi o explozie de culori venind de la standurile de legume și fructe, ardei roșii și galbeni, vinete violete, castraveți verzi și mirosul fantastic al ierburilor uscate, o încântare pentru ochi, nas și gust. Piața e ideală dacă vrei să găsești ceva bun și proaspăt astfel încât mâncarea ta să aibă aroma mâncării gătite în casă.
Nu trebuie să mă credeți, doar petreceți o dimineață de sâmbătă în piața din Vălenii de Munte, sunt sigur că vă veți îndrăgosti de culori, arome și mirosuri și de oamenii din această parte a României. În plus veți și cumpăra ceva ce aveți nevoie.

Mici in Romania
Are you hungry and in Romania? Let’s taste mici!!!
You travel or maybe just go on a open air market in Romania, and of course arrive the moment where you are hungry… If you can see some smoke and grill you are maybe in the right place to eat mici. And what’s mici? Let’s take a look in the deepest secret of Romanian’s cuisine.
Actually mici are like sausages, but of course they are not because they’re mici. It’s made of ground beef, meat mixed with spices, garlic and beef broth. You can find them everywhere, like in market and maybe even in some restaurants. They are usually served with bread and mustard. You can also ask for some chips to eat with. You can find them in different sizes, usually they are like 8-10cm or you can find big ones like 15 cm (and those one you can eat just one, because after you are just completely …. FULL). The great thing it’s that you can find them everywhere in Romania, in all the regions. And if you are lucky, you can meet some local people who can invite you to eat a barbecue in their house and for sure you will find some mici. It happened once for me, a neighbor of Curba de Cultura just invited me with one the local volunteer, and we had the luck to eat mici.
I really like this meat, it’s really tasty, you can eat them at which hour you want, even the morning! I had lots of occasions to eat them, and every time I enjoyed them.
So, if I have an advice to give you, I just tell you: Eat mici!
Ți-e foame și ești în România? Gustă niște mici!
Fie că doar călătorești prin România ori ești printr-o piață în aer liber vine un moment în care ți se face foame… Uită-te după fum și grătar, cel mai probabil acolo vei găsi mici.
Ce sunt micii? Haideți să aruncăm o privire către cele mai ascunse secrete ale bucătăriei românești. Într-un fel micii sunt precum cârnații, dar nu sunt, pentru că ei sunt mici. Au în compoziție carne de vită, condimente, usturoi și supă de carne. Îi găsești aproape oriunde, în piețe și în restaurante de asemenea și sunt cel mai adesea serviți cu pâine și muștar. Poți cere și cartofi prăjiți lângă ei. Se găsesc la diferite dimensiuni, cel mai adesea la 8-10 cm cei mai mari find de 15 cm (iar cu aceia te saturi chiar și numai cu unul). Cel mai tare e faptul că îi găsești peste tot în România, în toate regiunile. Și dacă ai noroc poți întâlni oameni care să te invite la un grătar la ei acasă și cu siguranță vor avea și mici. Mi s-a întâmplat odată ca un vecin al Curbei de Cultură să mă invite pe mine și pe un alt voluntar local și am fost suficient de norocoși să primim mici.
Chiar îmi place acest fel de mâncare, e foarte gustos și poate fi mâncat la orice oră vrei, chiar și dimineața! Am avut o mulâime de ocazii de a mânca mici și mi-a făcut plăcere de fiecare dată.
Un sfat pentru voi: mâncați mici!

Romanian approach – abordare în stil românesc
If you want to read cheerful and funny post, skip to some other one. This is about Romanian approach to nature and life generally.
Dacă doriți să citiți un post amuzant și încurajator, vă rog să săriți peste acesta. Acesta este despre abordarea românească când vine vorba de natură în general.
Starting from the beginning: Bucharest. Weather welcomed me with temperatures around 35°C and Sorin, a cute, helpful employer from Curba de Cultura, with a broken van (the trunk was not opening). He he heee… To get luggage into a trunk was the very first little challenge. Definitely not the last one.
Începând cu începutul: București. Vremea m-a întâmpinat cu temperaturi de 35°C și Sorin un angajat drăguți și săritor de la Curba de Cultură cu o dubiță puțin defectă (nu se deschidea portbagajul). He he heee… Să punem bagajul în portbagaj a fost o primă mică provocare. Și nu ultima, cu siguranță.
I have already written something about me, you can read about my first expressions and experiences, and also about what happens in Romania when you go for a hike without a proper map. But what you do not know is that I have been in Romania before. Last year I spent a week in the west part around Caransebes. I tasted amazing goat and sheep cheeses while drinking fresh milk and then enjoying the softness of cake made from urda. But I also saw how many things might be improved here, and how much the country is trying to do something about it, too. Those little notions I would like to talk about a bit more, because they are one of many reasons why I decided to do my EVS here.
Am scris deja câte ceva despre mine, și puteți afla despre primele mele expresii și experiențe și despre ce se poate întâmpla când pleci în drumeție fără a avea o hartă potrivită. Ceea ce nu știți e că eu am mai fost în România înainte. Anul trecut am petrecut o săptămână în partea de vest a țării, în regiunea Caransebeșului. Am gustat brânzeturi de capră și oaie și am băut lapte proaspăt iar apoi am savurat prospețimea unei prăjituri cu urdă. Dar am văzut de asemenea cum multe lucruri pot fi îmbunătățite aici și cât de mult țara încearcă să facă ceva în privința asta. Despre aceste mici chestiuni aș dori să vorbesc mai mult, deoarece ele reprezintă unul din multele motive pentru care am decis să fac SEV-ul aici.
The nature is not immortal, we, humans, are not immortal. And we, humans, are not helpless or powerless. It has been just one month since I had arrived, yet I have met tens of people involved in the process of change. There are associations convincing Romanians to spay dogs instead of making new stray dogs, to sort waste instead of burning it, and there are other working with young people and whole communities. Because it is family and youngster where we need to start, if we want to make (and see) the difference.
Natura nu e nemuritoare, noi, oamenii, nu suntem nemuritori. Și noi oamenii nu suntem neajutorați sau lipsiți de putere. A trecut o lună de când am ajuns și am întâlnit zeci de oameni implicați în aceste schimbări. Există asociații care conving românii să-și sterilizeze câinii în loc să îi lase să facă alți câini vagabonzi, să-și soteze gunoiul în loc să îl ardă și există alții care lucrează cu tinerii și comunitățile. Deoarece trebuie să începem cu tinerii și familiile acestora dacă vrem să facem și să vedem o schimbare.
May be I am too keen of neatness, but really, is it such a big problem to finish what you started? Is it so hard not to beat your horse, not to throw puppies over your fence out to the street, to give your rubbish into a bin instead of burning it on side of the road or just… smile at a customer in a shop? The answer is NO. It is very easy, and fortunately there are people who are trying to do something about it. So, the real challenge is not about getting used to these, but to be truly helpful for those who want to change their homeland.
Try to broaden youth’s horizons so they can have wider purposes, it is what we are doing here. It is knowledge and experience what make us better, stronger, and more useful. It might be written differently in the official papers, but for me it is like that – Curba de Cultura helps to improve Romanian social environment through giving the opportunity to grow, know and undergo to youngsters.
Poate sunt eu prea dornică de acuratețe, dar pe bune acum, e chiar așa greu să termini ce ai început? E așa greu să nu îți bați calul, să nu arunci cățeii peste gard, să pui gunoiul în tomberon în loc să îl arzi pe marginea drumului ori… să zâmbești unui client în magazin? Raspunsul e NU. E chiar ușor și din fericire există oameni care încearcă să facă ceva în privința asta. Așadar adevărata provocare nu e să te obișnuiești cu aceste lucruri ci să fii cu adevărat util celor ce vor să schimbe ceva în țara lor natală.
Ceea ce facem noi aici este să încercăm să extindem orizonturile tinerilor astfel încât ei să aibă scopuri mai largi. Cunoștințele și experiența ne fac mai buni, mai puternici și mai utili. S-ar putea să fie scris diferit în hârtii dar pentru mine Curba de Cultură ajută la îmbunătățirea mediului social românesc prin facilitaterea de oportunități de a crește, cunoaște și experimenta.
Anna se află în România pentru o perioadă de 6 luni, din august 2016 până în ianuarie 2017 în cadrul proiectului Building Youth Supportive Communities 2 (ref nr 2016-1-RO01-KA105-024246), proiect co-finanțat de Uniunea Europeană prin Programul Erasmus+ și implementat în România de Asociația Curba de Cultură.

First when I saw the project I knew that I want to be part of it. Because I have lot of experience in working with youngsters, the opportunity to do something inspired me. I feel the need to grow as a person enriching my culture, language and learning from people that are working in the same area. Moreover an EVS project in Europe will provide me with a huge opportunity of having international exposure and multicultural perspective.
I like to sing very much and I have participated in many Estonians song and dance festivals. Also I like hiking, climbing and shooting arrows with a bow, as hobby. My other activities and interests include listening to music, watching movies and spending time with friends and families.
I am not afraid to discover, experiment and to ask questions. I have participated in youth exchanges and training courses abroad and this helped me to be brave to ask. Also those projects thought me a lot about group dynamics and understanding cultural differences around me. This EVS opportunity means a great deal for my professional and personal growth. I am highly motivated, open-minded and with outstanding communication and organization skills.
I am ready to learn!
Încă de prima datăă când am văzut acest proiect am știut că vreau să fac parte din el. Deoarece am experiență în lucrul cu tinerii, șansa de a face ceva, m-am simtit inspirată. Simt nevoia să cresc ca și om, să îmi îmbogățesc cultura, limba și să învăț de la cei care lucrează în același domeniu. În plus un proiect SEV în Europa îmi aduce o șansă imensă de a fi expusă unei culturi internationale și unei perspective multiculturale.
Îmi place foarte mult să cânt și am participat în multe festivaluri de cântece și dans în Estonia. De asemenea îmi plac drumețiile, cățărările și tirul cu arcul drept hobby. Alte activități și interese includ ascultatul muzicii, vizionarea filmelor și petrecerea timpului cu prietenii și familia.
Nu mi-e teamă să fac noi descoperiri, să experimentez și să pun întrebări. Am participat în numeroase schimburi de tineri și cursuri în străinătate și asta m-a ajutat să nu-mi fie teamă să pun întrebări. De asemenea aceste proiecte m-au învățat multe despre dinamica de grup și despre înțelegerea diferențelor dintre mine și cei din jur. Acest SEV reprezintă o șansă minunată pentru dezvoltarea mea personală și profesională. Sunt foarte motivată, deschisă și posed abilități de comunicare și organizare remarcabile.
Sunt gata să învăț!

Bye, bye Estonia! Say “Hi” to Romania!
Bye, bye Estonia! 31 of September was the time to flight to Romania. Before that I was totally struggling because of packing. In my mind entire time there was one question – How do you pack your 5 months things into one bag? Surprise, surprise I managed to do that just before going to sleep in day before leaving. Success 🙂
In that night I slept only 3 hours because I had to leave at 4 in the morning already and I didn’t have a good sleep. Luckily my mother was so kind that she dropped me off to the airport in the early morning. When we arrived to the airport it was madness over there, because many flights where at the same time and that didn’t happen very often when I had flights. Next, I had to drop off my bag, my big heavy bag. I was nervous because I didn’t know how much weight it is. Luckily everything was okay and I had the chance to start my trip without any problems.
After security check, after explosions check, after showing my bag I was thinking… well there were my problems and let the adventure begin.
Surprisingly I saw one of my friends in the airport, not knowing that before. Yes, Estonia is small, but meeting in airports doesn’t happen. After talking a lot and taking pictures, it was the time to go.
First stop Frankfurt.
In Frankfurt I was waiting about an hour with my bear, I didn’t have any problems luckily but had many conversation with strangers and all the time telling them that what I am going to do in Romania. It was tiring but at the same time exciting to here the stories.
I was flying with Lufthansa and it was really pleasant stay in both flights because I had the same seat on both flights and I got food and drinks. I really recommend having same seats, because it is just easier if you are tired J And of course I had lot of thinking what am I doing right know, how is it possible that I’m going to Romania, why am I doing it. I am just CRAZY!!
At last I arrived to Romania. Firstly I just wanted to receive my bag. It was my first aim in Romania. After long wait I saw my luggage. I have never been so happy to see my big heavy bag.
But there I was, exhausted, exited, scared and waiting my new life to start. Helllooo Romania!

Cinema nights – Seri de film
Cinema night is not just about watching a simple movie, it’s a special occasion to regroup with friends, to have a good time, to laugh.
Every time for cinema evenings we start by creating posters and sharing the event on Facebook. On the D-day we are filling up the car with materials and getting ready for the people to come. We set the equipment and slowly people are coming: kids, teenagers, volunteers and sometimes even adults.
Serile de film nu sunt doar despre vizionarea unui film, ele reprezintă o ocazie specială de a te aduna împreună cu prietenii, de a petrece timp împreună, de a râde, de a te simți bine.
Fiecare seară de film începe prin crearea de afișe și postarea evenimentului pe Facebook. În ziua filmului, punem toate lucrurile în mașină și pregătim totul pentru oamenii ce urmează să vină. Aranjăm echipamentul și încet-încet spectatorii apar: copii, tineri, voluntari și uneori chiar adulți.
Then, we start the movie, people have food and drinks, everything what they might need. They enjoy the time spent together. Sometimes they talk and laugh, sometimes they move around or even leave in the middle. Anyhow cinema nights are a great. They bring a change, they bring something different in the life of the community and this is really nice for the youngsters and children living here.
Apoi începem filmul, oamenii au gustări, băuturi, tot ce au nevoie. Și se bucură de timpul petrecut împreună. Uneori vorbesc și râd, alteori se plimbă ori chiar pleacă pe la jumătatea filmului. Oricum ar fi serile de film sunt minunate. Ele aduc o schimbare, aduc, ceva diferit în viața comunității și e foarte plăcut pentru copii și tinerii care locuiesc aici.
