Ce-mi dă România – What Romania gives to me

A crește într-un ONG internaționale

Acest proiect este prima mea experiență internațională într-un ONG. Cu ochii mei de voluntar am descoperit cum funcționează o asociație culturală. Altfel decât școala, Curba de Cultura m-a învățat că în ​​spatele activităților distractive, există o mulțime de obiective de pregătire și de învățare.

Din decembrie, am avut timp să exersez și să-mi îmbunătățesc abilitățile de promovare, să vorbesc clar în fața tinerilor, așa că în sfârșit îmi îmbunătățesc limba engleză. A fost unul dintre motivele mele pentru a căuta un proiect internațional, de a trăi cu o comunitate internațională și de a învăța alte obiceiuri.

Introducerea în tradițiile românești

Religia ortodoxă este cu adevărat prezentă în România, mai ales acolo unde ne aflăm. Curba de Cultura este înconjurată de câteva sate din regiunea Prahova. Și viața în sate încă funcționează cu program religios. De exemplu, suntem în perioada Paștilor, sărbătorile au loc în acest weekend, dar pregătirile sunt vizibile de două săptămâni în satul nostru. De asemenea, am avut șansa să mă bucur și să trăiesc alte evenimente în timpul petrecut aici. Înainte de Crăciun, vecinul nostru ne-a invitat să gustăm din preparatele tradiționale.

Intalnirea și trăirea în comunitate

Proiectul nu va fi la fel fără ceilalți voluntari. Trăim împreună, lucrăm împreună și ne bucurăm de weekendul nostru împreună. Știu că arată a …mult timp împreună, dar am spațiul personal de care am nevoie în casă și în centru. În weekend, am avut și posibilitatea de a vizita alte părți ale României împreună cu grupul de voluntari și de asemenea singura. Ca femeie doar cu un rucsac, este foarte bine, m-am simțit în siguranță tot timpul și românii pe care i-am întâlnit sunt cu adevărat de ajutor și …dulci!

Grow up in international ONG

This project is my first international experience in NGO. With my volunteer’s eyes I discovered how work a cultural organization. Different than the school, Curba de Cultură taught me that behind fun activities, there are a lot of preparation and learning objectives.

Since December, I had time to pratice and improve my promotion’s skills, to speak clearly in front of teenagers, so finally improve my english. It was one of my reasons to look for an international project, to live with an international community and learn some other customs.

Introduced to Romanian traditions

The orthodox religion is really present in Romania, especially where we are. Curba de Cultură is surronded by some villages in the region of Prahova. And the life in villages are still function with the religion’s schedule. For instance, we are in Easter time, the celebration are happening this weekend, but the preparation are visible since two weeks in our village. I had also chance to enjoy and lived others events during my time here. Before Christmas, our neighbor invited us to tasted the tradition meals.

Meet and live in community

The project will not be the same without the other volunteers. We are living together, working together and enjoy our weekend together. I know that it looks a lot of time together, but I have the personal space that I need in the house and in the center. During the weekend, I had also the possibility to visit other parts of Romania with the volunteers’s group and also alone. As a women with a backpack, it is really okay, I felt in security all the time and the Romanian that I met are really helpful and sweet !
