On this page you can check some of the results of the projects we implemented so far.
1. Community Kitchen- “A culinary journey in Romania” a cookbook with recipes gathered from the people in the local community by a group of 3 volunteers. It includes typical local recipes, Romanian traditional dishes as well as some of the recipes tested by the volunteers with local youngsters in the youth centres. Community Kitchen project was co-financed by the European Union through the European Solidarity Corps (2021-2-RO01-ESC51-VTJ-000044999). 2. Activity Cheatsheet – a small booklet meant to support volunteers in picking and adapting activities to the learning objectives set and to the groups they work with. The first issue of this booklet was done by Heloise Danna and Stefanie Kindle, in the projects EVS20: Let’s Move and Change [2016-3-FR02-KA105-012345] and Volunteer for Rural Communities [2017-2-LI02-KA105-000049]. 3. Discover Izvoarele – the cultural monograph of the Izvoarele Commune. A collection of information and experiences gathered during one year of voluntary service – from going to pick up vegetables with the Tanti (the English equivalent would be “madam” or “lady”) to explore the hills of the area – using a format that would allow the reader to notice the different points of view of each member of the team and at the same time to get a descriptive and documented information of the life of the commune. The monograph was created in the project Izvoarele Unveiled [2016-3-RO01-KA105-035584] and it can be read and downloaded here.
4. Discover Izvoarele – the video documentary of Izvoarele Commune. The audiovisual material gathered was turned into a documentary with the aim of showing the different circumstances of life in the commune and to give voice to different inhabitants. The documentary was created in the same project, Izvoarele Unveiled [2016-3-RO01-KA105-035584] and it can be seen here.
5. Activity Cheatsheet 2 – the booklet created by the previous round of volunteers got an improved version with more activities and explanations. This version belongs to Adrianna Michalska and Anna Seweryn, both hosted in the project Active Youth in Rural Settings [2017-1-PL01-KA105-035693].
