Curba de Cultur\u0103 focuses on teenagers and youth development. Our mission is to use non-formal education as a complementary method to the formal educational system for young people. We want to create the premises for a better development of the young people and their more suited integration within their respective communities. We want to make young people aware that they actively belong to their local and national culture.<\/p>\n

We are looking for an 18-30 years old volunteer who has:<\/strong><\/p>\n \u2013 motivation to live and work in rural area<\/p>\n \u2013 motivation to work with youngsters and children<\/p>\n \u2013 basic knowledge of English<\/p>\n <\/p>\n The activities the volunteer would do, in a team, not alone, are:<\/strong><\/p>\n \u2013 promoting non-formal learning and volunteering through presentations and activities<\/p>\n \u2013 non-formal learning activities with children in schools and with youngsters in the youth centre<\/p>\n \u2013 organizing outdoor cinema nights<\/p>\n \u2013 managing the library within the youth centre<\/p>\n \u2013 organizing foreign language classes and cultural events<\/p>\n \u2013 writing articles and blogposts<\/p>\n \u2013 reporting and documenting activities<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Being an Erasmus+ project the volunteer would also receive:<\/strong><\/p>\n \u2013 accommodation in a traditional Romanian house (but with wi-fi :P)<\/p>\n \u2013 pocket money and budget for food<\/p>\n \u2013 bus permits for local transport<\/p>\n \u2013 phone sim cards and monthly credit for it<\/p>\n \u2013 international travel costs up to 275 EUR reimbursed in the end of the stay<\/p>\n \u2013 Romanian language classes<\/p>\n \u2013 mentor support for personal development<\/p>\n \u2013 coordinator support for implementing activities<\/p>\n \u2013 complete medical insurance through Cigna Insurrance Plan<\/p>\n \u2013 Youthpass certificate<\/p>\n \u2013 two international trainings provided by the Romanian National Agency<\/p>\n \u2013 one internal training for nonformal education methods and communication techniques<\/p>\n \u2013 smiles and hugs 😉<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Other details about the project:<\/strong><\/p>\n Name:\u00a0Volunteer to Grow<\/p>\n Length: 6 months, November 2018 – April 2019<\/p>\n Location: Izvoarele, Prahova County, Romania (the historical region of Walachia)<\/p>\n Hosting Organization: Curba de Cultur\u0103<\/a><\/p>\n
