\"Anna\"Few weeks ago I thought this post will be about another trip around Romania, but… I was sick. And then again. But nobody wants to read about sweat, pain\u00a0and doctors, who left their professional competences far away behind their office, right? So, I decided to change the topic, instead of What I did during my holidays I want to tell you something about\u00a0Sun, happiness and angels. Yeap, I am a bit sarcastic. Let\u00b4s be a bit more serious. I was considering the nicest thing what happened in last weeks or months: my boyfriend arrived, I got a job in Czech Republic, our yard is one big ice ring, I found gloves on a street… Not really readable things. But\u00a0Human Library! That is a different story!<\/p>\n

Acum c\u00e2teva s\u0103pt\u0103m\u00e2ni am crezut c\u0103 voi scrie despre o nou\u0103 c\u0103l\u0103torie prin Rom\u00e2nia, dar am fost r\u0103cit\u0103… o dat\u0103, \u0219i \u00eenc\u0103 o dat\u0103. \u0218i cum nimeni nu vrea s\u0103 citeasc\u0103 despre transpira\u021bie, durere \u0219i doctori am decis s\u0103 schimb pu\u021bin subiectul \u0219i \u00een loc de ce am f\u0103cut \u00een vacan\u021b\u0103 vreau s\u0103 v\u0103 povestesc despre soare, fericire \u0219i \u00eengeri. Sunt pu\u021bin sarcastic\u0103, dar voi fi ceva mai serioas\u0103. A\u0219adar am \u00eenceput s\u0103 listez cele mai bune lucruri care s-au \u00eent\u00e2mplat \u00een ultima vreme: m-a vizitat prietenul meu, am ob\u021binut o slujb\u0103 acas\u0103 \u00een Cehia, avem patinoar \u00een curte, am g\u0103sit ni\u0219te m\u0103nu\u0219i pe strad\u0103… parc\u0103 nu sunt tocmai chestii de povestit. Dar Biblioteca Vie! Asta e o poveste \u00eentr-adev\u0103r.<\/p>\n

What is it? Human Library is based on somehow experienced people (books) who share their story (book story) with one or two other people \"15317763_424197847704509_43654092236934824_n\"(readers) in time.\u00a0As the official web page says, it “is designed to build a positive framework for conversations that can challenge stereotypes and prejudices through dialogue”, usually in collaboration with “Books” who are subjects of those – people of different culture, HIV possitve, alcoholic, with ADHD, homeless, with autism etc.<\/p>\n

Ce anume e Biblioteca Vie? E un eveniment bazate pe oameni care doresc s\u0103 \u00eemp\u0103rt\u0103\u0219easc\u0103 experien\u021be (c\u0103r\u021bi) cu una sau dou\u0103 persoane (cititori). Dup\u0103 cum zice \u0219i site-ul oficial ” a fost g\u00e2ndit s\u0103 construiasc\u0103 un cadru de conversa\u021bie pozitiv care aduce \u00een dialog stereotipuri \u0219i prejudec\u0103\u021bi” de obicei c\u0103r\u021bile sunt persoane care au trecut prin diferite experien\u021be (culturi diferite, seropozitivi, alcoolic, ADHD, oameni f\u0103r\u0103r ad\u0103post, auti\u0219ti etc)<\/p>\n

Because Romania, especially its rural parts, does not really know what to understand under the word “volunteer” and it is easily connected with the old communistic picture of it, Curba de Cultur\u0103 decided that on 5th December (the International Volunteering Day) to organize a Human Library about volunteering. The Books were Romanian volunteers which returned from international projects and us, EVS volunteers. In a local, cozy pub we had Librarians, local young volunteers who introduced the Readers (incoming guests) to the list of books. Reader then chose the one he was the most interested in and they sat down in a more private table, where the Book said its story and Reader could ask questions.
\nI have to say that it was very nice experience with very nicely organized
\nevent. Although we did not have dozens of Readers, those who came got the best service. I told my story twice, first time to a woman for whom were my words translated, which was super interesting – to shorten my story and try to keep its line. The other reader was a young man and my story was suddenly different. No need of translation, different sex, age and questions. The first time it was a life of a girl, me, who had harder childhood, worked on herself, fell in love and ended up with her love. The second time it was a life of a girl, who was trying to cut her family ties so badly, that she was determined to fail every single time.<\/p>\n

\"Untitled\"Deoarece \u00een Rom\u00e2nia \u0219i mai ales \u00een zonele rurale nu prea se \u00een\u021belege sensul termenului “voluntar” \u0219i este adesea legat de sensul pe care regimul comunist i l-a dat, Curba de Cultur\u0103 a decis ca pe 5 decembrie, de Ziua Interna\u021bional\u0103 a Voluntariatului s\u0103 organizeze o Bibliotec\u0103 Vie despre voluntariat. C\u0103r\u021bile au fost voluntari rom\u00e2ni care s-au \u00eentors din stagii interna\u021bionale \u0219i noi, voluntarii SEV. \u00centr-o cafenea confortabil\u0103 a fost organizat\u0103 biblioteca, cu bibliotecari – tineri voluntari locali care au ajutau cititorii (musafirii) s\u0103 aleag\u0103 c\u0103r\u021bi, cu cititori care mai apoi au ales c\u0103r\u021bi \u0219i \u00eempreun\u0103 cu care au stat de vorb\u0103 la o mas\u0103 mai retras\u0103. \u00a0C\u0103r\u021bile \u00ee\u0219i spunea pove\u0219tile iar cititorii puteau \u00eentreba. Trebuie s\u0103 admit c\u0103 a fost o experien\u021b\u0103 minunat\u0103 \u00eentr-un eveniment bine organizat.Chiar dac\u0103 nu am avut o mul\u021bime de cititori, cei care au venit au avut parte de cel mai bun tratament. Mi-am spus povestea de dou\u0103 ori, prima dat\u0103 unei femei iar vorbele mele au fost traduse ceea ce a f\u0103cut totul mult mai interesant fiind nevoiet\u0103 s\u0103 \u00eemi schimb povestea \u0219i s\u0103 \u00eei p\u0103strez liniaritatea. Cea de-a doua oar\u0103 cititorul meu a fost un t\u00e2n\u0103r, iar povestea mea a fost diferit\u0103. Nu a fost nevoie de traducere, cititorul a fost de sex diferit, v\u00e2rst\u0103 diferit\u0103 \u0219i a avut \u0103ntreb\u0103ri diferite. Prima dat\u0103 a fost povestea unei fete, eu, care a avut o copil\u0103rie grea, care a muncit pentru ea, s-a \u00eendr\u0103gostit \u0219i a r\u0103mas cu iubitul \u00a0ei. A doua oar\u0103 a fost povestea unei fete care \u0219i-a dorit at\u00e2t de mult s\u0103 se \u00eendep\u0103rteze de familia ei \u00eenc\u00e2t nu a contat c\u0103 a e\u0219uat de fiecare dat\u0103.<\/p>\n

I saw that life can have any shape or form, depending on who you talk with and what you do (not) want to mention or point out. It means that simply by focusing on the positive things, there is a big probability to change your life in a good way. At least from outside.<\/p>\n

Am v\u0103zut c\u0103 via\u021ba poate avea orice form\u0103, depinde de persoana cu care vorbe\u0219ti \u0219i de ce vrei s\u0103 men\u021bionez\u0103 sau s\u0103 la\u0219i deoparte. Doar concentr\u00e2ndu-te pe lucruri pozitive exist\u0103 deja o mare probabilitate a lucrurile s\u0103 ia o turnur\u0103 pozitiv\u0103. Cel pu\u021bin din exterior.<\/p>\n
