My name is Gertrudis, I am 28 years old and I come from a small town near the sea in Catalonia, Spain. I have studied Audiovisual Communication and Investigative Journalism, so I am very keen on these topics. I love being creative, communicating and I am very curious and interested in knowing more about different cultures and history, especially European history. Furthermore, I am interested in social change based on ecologism, gender issues and municipalism focus.  Therefore, I have been participating and working with associations related to these issues in the last few years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Nowadays, after residing in my quiet town all my life, I wanted to experience life in a foreign country and meet people from other cultures. The European Solidarity Corps allows me to get involved in a multicultural atmosphere, so I have been looking for projects and for the chance to enjoy some of them. When I read about the Discover Tei\u0219ani project, I knew it was perfect for me. It is an opportunity to know in depth about Romanian culture which is quite unknown for me even though it has strong cultural connections with my country of origin, as the Latin language. Of course, I am excited also about the idea to live in a rural area, surrounded by nature that I would love to discover, photograph and just enjoy. For the moment I need to be patient and cautious due to the lockdown we need in these times, but these measures will be worthwhile. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Iubesc s\u0103 fiu creativ\u0103 \u00een comunicare \u0219i sunt foarte curioas\u0103 \u0219i interesat\u0103 \u00een a cunoa\u0219te mai multe despre diferite culturi \u0219i despre istorie, mai ales istorie europnean\u0103. De asemenea, sunt interesat\u0103 de schimbare social\u0103 bazat\u0103 pe ecologism, pe probleme de gen \u0219i centrare pe municipalism. A\u0219adar, am participat \u0219i am lucrat cu asocia\u021bii legate de aceste probleme \u00een ultimii ani.<\/em>

Corpul Europnean de Solidaritate \u00eemi d\u0103 voie s\u0103 m\u0103 implic \u00eentr-o atmosfer\u0103 multicultural\u0103, deci am fost \u00een c\u0103utare a proiectelor \u0219i a \u0219ansei de a m\u0103 bucura de unele dintre ele. C\u00e2nd am citit despre proiectul Discover Tei\u0219ani, am \u0219tiut c\u0103 este perfect pentru mine. Este o oportunitate de a cunoa\u0219te \u00een profunzime lucruri despre cultura rom\u00e2n\u0103, care \u00eemi este destul de necunoscut\u0103 chiar dac\u0103 se afl\u0103 \u00een str\u00e2ns\u0103 leg\u0103tur\u0103 cu cultura \u021b\u0103rii mele originare, precum limbile romanice. Desigur, sunt entuziasmat\u0103 de asemenea de ideea de a tr\u0103i \u00een mediul rural, \u00eenconjurat\u0103 de natura pe care mi-ar pl\u0103cea s\u0103 o descop\u0103r, fotografiez \u0219i de care pur \u0219i simplu s\u0103 m\u0103 bucur.
