Have you ever thought about participating in a project that involves self development and discovering different people and their cultures?
\nThat’s what we did last week and we would like to tell you more about this awesome experience!
\nFive different teams, from Bulgaria, Italy, Spain, Portugal and including our team from Romania, gathered in Alicante (Spain) for one week.
\nThis experience was a youth exchange, an activity from the Erasmus+ program, during which we focused on empathy and other soft skills, such as teamwork, teambuilding, communication, social interactions as well as others.
\nEach of us got new skills and competences, as well as improved those we already had, based on activities using non-formal methods.
\nWe developed our language skills by spending our time with 25 other people from different backgrounds and countries and by sharing our experiences with others.
\nFor some of us, like C\u0103t\u0103lin and Alex, this was the first time going in a mobility project, and so far it turned out to be a very empowering experience.
\nC\u0103t\u0103lin: “It was awesome! Just the idea that you get in touch with a lot of people from different countries and get to work together on projects was for me an impulse. You begin to know each other very well and of course to know yourself and to develop skills that maybe were not that improved. ”<\/p>\n

\nAlex:” We had the opportunity to improve the knowledge of English on a safe environment, and to met new people with different cultures and language so we learned how to work with them and how to have fun with them. We had an amazing week because it was all a new experience and because we saw some amazing places like Alicante and Barcelona and this was like a dream.”
\nAnd even if this project wasn’t the first for three participants of our national team, the general feeling is positive and let good results behind it.
\nOana: “I for one really enjoyed one of the last activities we had – which was volunteering at a festival here in Alicante for a few hours. I’ve always enjoyed volunteering and I do it a lot in Romania, but doing it abroad felt particularly stimulating and fun. It was a really great experience to feel as part of the community even while being in another country, which further deepened my belief that we are all similar and we can always come together even while being so diverse or sometimes not even speaking the same language. ”
\nEstelle: “This week was a great opportunity to get new communication skills and to emphasize the empathy notion which is important in everyday life and working with young people. Even if it\u2019s not my first experience, it\u2019s always a strong and awesome opportunity to meet and discover new cultures, and also to create new connexions.”
\nGoing in this kind of project is not only about learning about a topic you might be interested in, but also about having the opportunity to go abroad and discover new places while spending time with other people and having fun.
\nOur common advice would be: try to go out of your comfort zone and you would be more than grateful to be a participant of this kind of experience!<\/p>\n

Te-ai g\u00e2ndit vreodat\u0103 la cum ar fi s\u0103 participi \u00eentr-un proiect care implic\u0103 dezvoltare personal\u0103 \u0219i descoperirea a diferi\u021bi oameni \u0219i a culturii acestora?
\nAsta e ceea ce am f\u0103cut noi s\u0103pt\u0103m\u00e2na trecut\u0103 \u0219i am vrea s\u0103 \u00ee\u021bi spunem mai multe despre aceast\u0103 super experien\u021b\u0103!
\nPentru o s\u0103pt\u0103m\u00e2n\u0103, cinci echipe din diferite tari ale Europei (Bulgaria, Italia, Spania, Portugalia si Rom\u00e2nia) s-au adunat \u00een Alicante, Spania, cu scopul de a se cunoaste si relationa.
\nExperien\u021ba se numeste oficial “youth exchange” (schimb de tineri) si este o activitate a programului Erasmus+, \u00een cadrul c\u0103reia ne-am concentrat pe empatie \u0219i alte “soft skills”, precum lucrul \u00een echip\u0103, teambuilding, comunicare si interac\u021biune social\u0103.
\nFiecare dintre noi a dezvoltat noi abilit\u0103\u021bi \u0219i competen\u021be, de asemenea, imbunatatind pe cele deja existente, sesiunile de invatare fiind bazate pe metode de educa\u021bie non-formal\u0103.
\nNe-am dezvoltate atat abilit\u0103\u021bile lingvistice, prin prisma faptului ca ne-am petrecut timpul alaturi de alti 25 de oameni din \u021b\u0103ri cu istorie si traditii diferite, cat \u0219i abilitatile de relatioare si accceptare a diferentelor culturale, \u00eemp\u0103rt\u0103\u0219ind experien\u021bele personale cu ceilalti participanti.
\nPentru unii dintre noi, precum C\u0103t\u0103lin \u0219i Alex, aceasta a fost prima experienta de acest gen, \u00eentr-un proiect de mobilitate, acesta dovedindu-se una de benefica si de neuitat.<\/p>\n
C\u0103t\u0103lin: “A fost super! Doar ideea c\u0103 intri \u00een contact cu o gr\u0103mad\u0103 de oameni din \u021b\u0103ri diferite \u0219i ajunge\u021bi s\u0103 lucra\u021bi \u00eempreun\u0103 la proiecte a fost pentru mine un imbold in a-mi dori sa calatoresc cat mai mult. \u00cencepe\u021bi s\u0103 v\u0103 cunoa\u0219te\u021bi foarte bine \u00eentre voi \u0219i, desigur, s\u0103 v\u0103 cunoa\u0219te\u021bi pe voi \u00cen\u0219iv\u0103. La finalul proiectului, mi-am dat seama, fara sa vreau, ca am mi-am imbunatatit abilitatile de comunicare, non-verbala, dar si in limba engleza, care poate nu erau atat de bine dezvoltate.”<\/p>\n
Alex:” Am avut oportunitatea s\u0103 ne \u00eembun\u0103t\u0103\u021bim cuno\u0219tin\u021bele de limba englez\u0103 \u00eentru-un mediu unde ne sim\u021beam \u00een siguran\u021b\u0103, \u0219i s\u0103 cunoa\u0219tem oameni noi cu limbi \u0219i culturi diferite, a\u0219a c\u0103 am \u00eenv\u0103\u021bat cum s\u0103 lucr\u0103m cu ei \u0219i cum s\u0103 ne distr\u0103m alaturi de ei. Am avut o s\u0103pt\u0103m\u00e2n\u0103 minunat\u0103 pentru c\u0103 totul timpul nostru a fost presarat cu experien\u021be noi, dar si pentru ca am v\u0103zut locuri minunate precum Alicante \u0219i Barcelona. A fost ca un vis devenit realitate.”<\/p>\n
Chiar dac\u0103 acest proiect nu a fost primul pentru trei dintre participan\u021bii echipei noastre na\u021bionale, sentimentul general e pozitiv \u0219i a l\u0103sat \u00een urm\u0103 rezultate bune.<\/p>\n
Oana: “Mie personal cel mai mult mi-a pl\u0103cut una dintre ultimele activit\u0103\u021bi pe care le-am avut – care a constat \u00een a face voluntariat la un festival aici \u00een Alicante pentru c\u00e2teva ore. \u00centotdeauna mi-a pl\u0103cut s\u0103 fiu voluntar \u0219i fac asta mult \u00een Rom\u00e2nia, dar s\u0103 o fac \u00eenafara \u021b\u0103rii s-a sim\u021bit deosebit de stimulant \u0219i distractiv. A fost o experien\u021b\u0103 foarte pl\u0103cut\u0103 s\u0103 m\u0103 simt ca parte din comunitate chiar \u0219i afl\u00e2ndu-m\u0103 \u00een alt\u0103 \u021bar\u0103, ceea ce mi-a ad\u00e2ncit mai tare credin\u021ba c\u0103 suntem cu to\u021bii diferiti, dar similari in acelasi timp. Putem oric\u00e2nd s\u0103 ne ajut\u0103m unii pe altii, chiar daca locuim la mii de kilometrii departare, sau vorbim limbi diferite.”<\/p>\n
Estelle: “Aceast\u0103 s\u0103pt\u0103m\u00e2n\u0103 a fost o oportunitate grozav\u0103 de a ob\u021bine noi abilit\u0103\u021bi de comunicare \u0219i de a pune accent pe no\u021biunea de empatie, ea fiind important\u0103 \u00een via\u021ba de zi cu zi precum \u0219i \u00een lucrul cu tinerii. Chiar dac\u0103 nu e prima mea experien\u021b\u0103, este \u00eentotdeauna o oportunitate minunat\u0103 \u0219i puternic\u0103 de a cunoa\u0219te \u0219i descoperi culturi noi, \u0219i de asemenea de a crea noi conexiuni.”<\/p>\n
Participarea \u00eentr-un astfel de proiect nu este numai despre a \u00eenva\u021ba despre un subiect de care ai putea fi interesat, ci \u0219i despre a profita de oportunitatea de a calatori \u00een str\u0103in\u0103tate \u0219i de a descoperi locuri noi, \u00een timp ce petreci timp cu alte persoane \u0219i te distrezi.
