Salut! I arrived in this beautiful little village just a few days ago. I drove all the way from my small rural village on the edge of the Danube valley, Southern Germany, to Izvoarele by car. The way the landscape, town and cities changed on the way was amazing. On the end of my journey I was greeted by a place so different, but also in some ways similar to the place I called home my whole life.<\/p>\n
I was amazed by all the animals everywhere, which just ran around instead of being carefully confined like in my home region, may it be dogs, cows, horses or sheep. The horse carriages made me feel like I traveled back in time, as I had only ever seen them as tourist traps in major cities or for traditional festivals before.<\/p>\n
I was also happy to notice, that despite having been told that this was an agricultural region. The forests were rather preserved and land used for agricultural usage was small and in-between; at least compared to my home region, where strips of trees where rare between all the big cultivated fields. The view was just breathtaking. Despite all this there was trash laying around everywhere and in that moment I knew, that my project, to promote environmental conscious waste management, was important.<\/p>\n
When I finally arrived in Curba de Cultura I was welcomed by the other volunteers with an elan and joy that made me feel home right away. The first day was kinda confusing, thanks to a mix of being tired because of the long drive and the mountain of information I had to process. But I quickly settled in the next few days and had a lot of fun. I hope the next few months will be as great as the few days I had till now.<\/p>\n
Salut! Am ajuns \u00een acest frumos sat acu c\u00e2teva zile. Am condus din s\u0103tucul meu, de unde \u00eencepe Dun\u0103rea, din sudul Germaniei p\u00e2n\u0103 \u00een Izvoarele. Modul \u00een care peisajele \u0219i ora\u0219ele s-au schimbat a fost uimitor. La finalul c\u0103l\u0103toriei mele am fost \u00eent\u00e2mpinat\u0103 de un loc at\u00e2t de diferit \u0219i totu\u0219i similar cu locul pe care \u00eel numesc acas\u0103.<\/p>\n
M-au mirat animalele care se g\u0103sesc peste tot, care alearg\u0103 \u0219i nu sunt \u00eengr\u0103dite precum \u00een regiunea mea natal\u0103, fiec\u0103 c\u0103 vorbim de c\u00e2ini, vaci, cai sau oi. C\u0103ru\u021bele m-au f\u0103cut s\u0103 m\u0103 simt ca \u0219i cum a\u0219 fi c\u0103l\u0103torit \u00eenapoi \u00een timp, c\u0103ci singurele ocazii c\u00e2nd le-am v\u0103zut au fost c\u00e2nd au fost folosite ca capcane pentru turi\u0219ti \u00een ora\u0219e \u0219i festivaluri tradi\u021bionale.<\/p>\n
M-am bucurat s\u0103 constat, cu toate c\u0103 mi-a fost spus, c\u0103 aceasta este o zon\u0103 destul de agricol\u0103. P\u0103durile par p\u0103strate, iar terenul folosit pentru agricultur\u0103 este \u00een buc\u0103\u021bi mici \u0219i printre p\u0103duri; cel pu\u021bin \u00een compara\u021bie cu regiunea mea unde zonele cu copaci sunt rare printre zonele cultivate. Imaginea \u00ee\u021bi taie r\u0103suflarea. Cu toate acestea am v\u0103zut gunoi peste tot \u0219i am \u0219tiut c\u0103 proiectul pentru care vin este important.<\/p>\n
C\u00e2nd am ajuns \u00een cele din urm\u0103 la Curba de Cultur\u0103 am fost primit\u0103 de ceilal\u021bi voluntari cu un elan \u0219i o bucurie care m-a f\u0103cut s\u0103 m\u0103 simt acas\u0103. Prima zi a fost pu\u021bin confuz\u0103 din cauza unui amestec de oboseal\u0103 dup\u0103 condus un drum lung \u0219i un munte de informa\u021bii pe care a trebuit s\u0103 le procesez. Dar \u00een zilele urm\u0103toare toate s-au aranjat \u0219i m-am distrat bine. Sper ca \u0219i lunile urm\u0103toare s\u0103 fie la fel.<\/p>\n
