\"Monster\u00a0Every Wednesday, a little before two, I pack my bag with flashcards, pens, games and flipcharts. I take a short walk from Curba to the Cultural Center in Izvoarele, I move a few chairs and tables around, set my things up, and I take a minute to remind myself of my plan for the day.<\/p>\n

When two strikes, I start to see small (and not so small) figures wrapped in layers of warm clothes running from the school to their English lesson. They all gather around me in the hall and try really hard not to speak Romanian when they want to say hi and see how I\u2019m doing. Anyway, they look much less confused when I speak English than I do when I hear Romanian! We then spend an hour learning English together with games and activities that are meant to help the participants improve their speaking and comprehension skills.<\/p>\n

I\u2019m always impressed by how much effort and consideration they put in during the time we spend together. So, no matter how badly my day may have been going before, when I leave the lesson, I\u2019m always in the best of moods. Whether I get flowers, positive feedback or just lots of hugs, these little marks of gratitude make me so happy to be a teacher in Romania!<\/p>\n

\"Portrait\u00a0\u00cen fiecare miercuri, pu\u021bin \u00eenainte de ora dou\u0103 \u00eemi iau cartona\u0219ele, creioanele, jocurile \u0219i foile de flipchart. Fac o scurt\u0103 plimbare de la Curba de Cultur\u0103 la Biblioteca Izvoarele, g\u0103zduit\u0103 de Centrul Cultural, mut c\u00e2teva scaune \u0219i mese, \u00eemi aranjez lucrurile \u0219i apoi \u00eemi recapitulez mental planul zilei.<\/p>\n

C\u00e2nd se face dou\u0103 \u00eencep s\u0103 v\u0103d mici (\u0219i nu chiar a\u0219a mici) figuri \u00eembr\u0103cate \u00een straturi calduroase fugind de la \u0219coal\u0103 la lec\u021bia de englez\u0103. To\u021bi se adun\u0103 \u00eemprejurul meu \u00een \u00eenc\u0103pere \u0219i \u00eencearc\u0103 din r\u0103sputeri s\u0103 nu vorbeasc\u0103 rom\u00e2n\u0103 c\u00e2nd vor s\u0103 m\u0103 salute \u0219i s\u0103 m\u0103 \u00eentebe ce mai fac. Oricum ei sunt mult mai pu\u021bin confuzi c\u00e2nd vorbesc englez\u0103 dec\u00e2t sunt eu c\u00e2nd aud vorbindu-se rom\u00e2n\u0103! Apoi petrecem o or\u0103 \u00eenv\u0103\u021b\u00e2nd englez\u0103 \u00eempreun\u0103 prin jocuri \u0219i activit\u0103\u021bi al c\u0103ror rol este s\u0103 ajute participan\u021bii s\u0103 \u00ee\u021bi \u00eembun\u0103t\u0103\u0219easc\u0103 abilit\u0103\u021bile de vorbire \u0219i \u00een\u021belegere ale limbii engleze.<\/p>\n

Sunt totdeauna impresionat\u0103 de efortul \u0219i aten\u021bia pe care ei o depun \u00een timpul pe care \u00eel petrecem \u00eempreun\u0103. Nu prea conteaz\u0103 c\u00e2t de prost mi-a mers \u00een ziua respectiv\u0103, c\u00e2nd am lec\u021bie cu ei am cea mai bun\u0103 dispozi\u021bie. Fie c\u0103 primesc flori, feedback pozitiv ori o mul\u021bime de \u00eembr\u0103\u021bi\u0219\u0103ri, aceste mici semne de recuno\u0219tin\u021b\u0103 m\u0103 fac foarte fericit\u0103 s\u0103 fiu profesor \u00een Rom\u00e2nia!<\/p>\n
